Community Plan Information Session: SB 406 with Sarah Absher

SB 406: What is it and what does it mean for Neskowin?

This meeting is the second in series of three information sessions about the Neskowin Community Plan and Land Use law presented by the Community Plan Steering Committee and Sarah Absher, Tillamook County Director of Community Development.

Director Absher will share an executive summary of Senate Bill 406, recently passed legislation that will permit middle housing in areas where single-family detached homes are currently permitted outright,  allowing for duplexes, triplexes, quadplexes, townhouses and cottage clusters in Neskowin residential zones. Director Absher is working with the Community Plan Steering Subcommittee on proposals for residential development standards to be considered by the Tillamook County Planning Commission and Tillamook County Board of Commissioners during the legislative text amendment process for implementation of Senate Bill 406, which is scheduled for completion in June 2025.

This meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 6pm. If you can attend in person, this meeting will be held at Hawk Creek Gallery, across 101 from the golf course on Schoolhouse Road.
