Understanding the Neskowin Community Plan: Land Use 101 with Sarah Absher

  • Neskowin Beach Golf Course Clubhouse 48405 Hawk Street Neskowin, OR, 97149 United States (map)

Why do we have a Neskowin Community Plan: Land Use 101

The Neskowin Community Plan is how we tell leaders in Tillamook, Salem, and beyond what we care about, and what our preferences are in terms of Land Use policy. But what does Land Use even mean? What is the most productive way to use the Community Plan to advance our goals as a community? What is in bounds and out of bounds? What are we required to do by law?

Sarah Absher, Director of Community Development in Tillamook County, is here to answer these questions and more.

In June and July, the Community Plan Steering Subcommittee will be hosting three information sessions with Director Absher to educate the community about the legal context in which the Neskowin Community Plan exists.

The first of these sessions will be “Land Use 101”, a presentation about Land Use law in Oregon and how it affects Neskowin and our Community Plan. It will be held on Saturday, June 29th, at 10:30am.

If you can attend in person, this meeting will be held at the Neskowin Beach Golf Club clubhouse.

You can also attend via Zoom:
